Day 1 : Arrive Budapest After arrival to your hotel (on own) – Check in. Day at leisure. Overnight in Budapest
Day 2 & 3 : Budapest – Hop On Hop Off with Cruise on Danube After breakfast proceed for a hop on hop tour in Budapest as you get a panoramic view of Heroes Square, Millennium Monument, City Park, Széchenyi Spa, Vajdahunyad castle, Andrássy Avenue (UNESCO World Heritage), Stephens Cathedral, Parliament, Castle District of Buda (UNESCO World Heritage Matthias Church, Liberty Statue and the Citadel). See Budapest in the evening with its famous buildings beautifully illuminated during the one-hour panoramic Night Tour. The additional river cruise takes you on a leisurely journey along the Danube. Day 4: Depart Budapest After breakfast, depart to the airport / train station for your onward journey (on own)
Walking tours, Budapest
A guided walk through most parts of the city. It is a guided walk through the city with the guides telling the group some interesting facts about the city of Budapest. It may not be sufficient to kill the curiosity of history buffs but, it is great for knowing the general historical facts. There are plenty of walking tours, some of which are: the afternoon tour, the private tours, segway sight seeing tour and night walking tour. These tours usually happen in a group of around 8 – 15 people.
Thermal Baths, Budapest
Budapest is also known as the ‘city of spas’ and is home to plenty of hot springs. Hungary is the land of thermal springs. Budapest has a great variety of thermal baths to choose from, you might want to choose the thermal bath according to your mood and preferences. Some of the famous ones are Sz_chenyi Bath, Gell_rt Bath, Rudas Bath. Sz_chenyi is the largest medicinal bath and the most popular amongst both, the locals and the tourists. These have some of the largest outdoor and indoor pools. It is also popular for hosting great parties through entire summer season. These parties happen on Saturdays from 10:30 to 03:00 from the month of June through August. Rudas and Gell_rt are for the architecture buffs and show some very rich culture.
Buda Castle, Budapest
The largest Gothic Palace of late middle ages. The skyline of Budapest is jeweled by the dome of the Buda Castle. It is the castle of the Hungarian kings In Budapest. It is most famous for the fact that the green dome is visible from anywhere in Budapest. It is now home to the Hungarian National Gallery, The Budapest History Museum and the National Library. Some other structures within the castle are The Matthias well and few other statues of historic importance.
