Day 1 – Bhuj – Camp
On arrival at Bhuj Railway Station, you will be transferred to our tents in Patgar city. Check in to the tent and relax. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Nova Patgar Tents and then gear up for a sightseeing tour of Kalo Dungar. Also known as the ‘Black Hill’, it stands as the highest point (462 m) in Kutch, Gujarat and is famous for its 400 year old Dattatreya Temple. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Great Rann of Kutch from Kalo Dungar and then head to Rann of Kutch for the fascinating Rann Utsav. The Rann of Kutch, a seasonal salt marsh that can be found in the Thar Desert, is known to be one of the world’s largest salt deserts. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset at the Rann of Kutch and then return to your tents. Get involved in the culture of Kutch while some of the best folk musicians set your mood for an utterly delicious Kutchi dinner. Then have a good night’s stay at the Nova Patgar Tents.
Day 2 – An Excursion to Mandvi Beach
Start your day with an utterly delicious buffet breakfast and proceed to the coastal town of Mandvi. Visit Mandvi Beach and enjoy the scenic locale, while a gorgeous sunset paints the sky. You can also visit the calm private beach at Vijay Vilas Palace Estate (at your own entrance cost). You will also visit the beautiful 72 Jain Temple Complex that houses white-marble temples with intricate carvings. In the evening, you can visit the Hiralaxmi Memorial Craft Museum to witness amazing works of art and craft and an enchanting light show. Later, return to the tents for a pleasant overnight stay. You can also enjoy some in-house activities like bonfire with karaoke.
Day 3 – Bhuj Local sightseeing – End of Tour
After breakfast, go on a wonderful sightseeing tour of Bhuj. Start your day with a good buffet breakfast and travel to Bhuj. You will get to visit Aina Mahal Museum (closed on Thursdays and public holidays), Prag Mahal Museum (closed on public holidays), Kutch Museum (closed on Wednesdays, 2nd and 4th Saturday and on public holidays), Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Exhibition Museum (closed on 2nd and 4th Saturday and on public holidays) and Cenotaphs of the Royal Family. The Aina Mahal Museum is a ‘Hall of Mirrors’, built during the 18th century in a mixed Indo-European architectural style. Behold an interesting collection of Kshatrapa inscriptions at one of Gujarat’s oldest museums, the Kutch Museum.
