Day 01: FLIGHT KATHMANDU – LHASA,
Exchange to the airplane terminal for the departure from Kathmandu to Lhasa on China Southwest Airlines. This one hour trans Himalayan Flight will give you a chance to have an elevated perspective of the Mt. Everest and other Himalayan Peaks (climate allowing). Landing in Gonggar air terminal around 13.30 hrs. neighborhood time. In the wake of clearing migration and traditions it will be a two hour drive to cover the 93 km. to Lhasa which is arranged at an elevation of 3650 meters (13,000ft). Upon entry we check in at the Snowland lodging, right in the core of the old city.
Day 02/03/04: SIGHTSEEING,
Amid these three days in Lhasa we visit the Potala royal residence, Drepung and Sera cloisters, the Norbulinka and obviously the renowned Jokhang sanctuary including the encompassing Barkhor.
Day 05: LHASA – GYANTSE,
You start your overland enterprise with an entire day drive to Gyantse. En route you cross the Kamba la (4794m) and the Karo la pass (5010m), both give marvelous perspectives. After the Kamba la you come to Yamdrok tso, otherwise called the Turquoise lake. You’ll need to have your camera prepared. Height 3900 m.
Day 06: GYANTSE – SHIGATSE,
This will be a bustling day. Toward the beginning of the day visit Gyantse stupa and religious community taken after by a two hour drive to Shigatse. Here observe the monster Buddha in the acclaimed Tashilumpo religious community. The seat of the Panchen Lama. Elevation 3800 m.
Day 07: SHIGATSE – LHATSE,
The trip today carries you more than two high goes with fine perspectives. For lunch we stop in the residential community of Lhatse. Contingent upon how much time we spend amid the morning in Shigatse we may remain medium-term in Lhatse. Height 4350 m. /4000m.*
Day 08: LHATSE – ROMBUK,
Starts with the Tsho La (4500m) and closes with the awesome perspective of Mt. Everest from Rombuk cloister. Loosen up this evening and walk around the religious community. Height 5050m., inn *
Day 09: ROMBUK – LAO TINGRI,
Rise early and begin the 2-3 hour lackadaisical walk (one path) to the base-camp (5200m) itself. You should return early evening to go to Lao Tingri. Lao Tingri is a little Tibetan town that offers the best view even from a latrine that you can’t understanding from anyplace on the planet. Elevation 4200 m., lodging *
Day 10: LAO TINGRI – Kerung – KATHMANDU,
Ensure you have some photographs left for the all encompassing perspective of the Himalayan range as you cross the pass. At night unwind in Kathmandu.
