England, Scotland and Ireland Special Package

Imagine a trip that will allow you ride the open-top red London buses before you fly-off to the land of Castlerigg Stone Circle and submerge yourself in the scenic appeal of the Lake District. The trip gets better as it takes to the Scottish highlands thereby allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of several Lochs before you spend a night at enchanting Belfast and completing your Irish experience by spending two magnificent nights at Dublin. England, birthplace of Shakespeare and The Beatles, is a country in the British Isles bordering Scotland and Wales. The capital, London, on the River Thames, is home of Parliament, Big Ben and the 11th-century Tower of London. It’s also a multicultural, modern hub for the arts and business. Other large cities are Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and the university centres of Oxford and Cambridge.

Consisting of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom (UK) – also often referred to as Great Britain, or simply GB – has long been one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. The country’s appeal has much to do with its diverse scenery and rich cultural heritage, the latter encompassing everything from beautifully preserved country estates and castles to many world-class art galleries and museums.

One of the greatest pleasures of a UK vacation, however, is the ease of exploring this fascinating country. Thanks to its size – the UK could easily fit into Texas (with room to spare) – you can base yourself in cities such as London or Liverpool and simply take a train or bus to explore other areas. From the nation’s capital, a 90-minute train ride is all it takes to access beautiful Salisbury, and a short bus ride or tour from here will take you to Stonehenge. And if you want to hop from Edinburgh to Glasgow, a one-hour train ride will deposit you in the heart of either city.
